An 8 week begginner's ballet workshop with recital for adults.
Have you always wanted to be a Ballerina/o/x? Wear a tutu, tights, false eyelashes, a bun, and dance gracefully on the big stage with lights, crescendoing classical music, and a loving supportive audience to applaud your strength, agility, and beauty?
Make this fantasy a reality with GKT’s program Livin' The Dream 1st edition- Ballet.
What does the workshop include?
- Technique Class, A 1.5 hours once a week fun, beggining level Ballet class.
- Rehearsal for the big recital dance for 1 .5 hours after class.
- A Costume Shop Design Session. GKT provides materials and guidance as we gather together to create our own unique recital costumes, garlands, tiaras, toole, and sequence galore! Snacks and drinks provided.
- Recital Performance. An opportunity to share your hard work with your community in a culmanative recital peice choreographed specifically to make the group look dazzling! Experience the thrill of performing! To take place at the end of the 8 weeks in GKT's upcoming festival, "We Are All Starz", in The Cino Theater in Manhattan's Theater for the New City.
- Professional video and photos of the recital for your personal use and enjoyment.
All classes are taught by Emily Vetsch. Ms. Vetsch trained at Ballet Idaho, North Carolina School of the Arts, The Conservatory of Dance at SUNY Purchase, and with ballet guru Christine Write. She danced professionally with Ballet Idaho and is Co-artistic director of GKT.
