Teaching Forum and Performance Conference
Part of GKT's We Are All Starz Festival at TNC Nov 16th at 1PM
The Theater for the New City, a non-profit, American playhouse in the heart of the East Village in Manhattan, New York, will provide a residence for Glitter Kitty Theater’s We Are All Starz teaching forum and performance conference on November 6- 23, 2019. Through invitation only, academic professionals from across the nation will gather in earnest to learn from one another's tactics and philosophies in the field, specifically but not limited to dance education and performance. Objectives include to foster a lasting support system through dialogue and debate, broaden pedagogical methods through teaching and research exchange, and to provide a stage for production in order to support one another’s performative experimentation through witnessing, questioning, applauding, and analysis.

The environment will be one of research, experimentation, observation, analysis, and testing. A wonderful place for teachers to expand their “toolbox”, test out new theories, share ideas, an incubator to share what works and get advice on new experimental endeavors.
Teaching dance within an institution among other art programs is often, although not always, a solitary endeavor. Glitter Kitty Theater’s aim in bringing teaching professionals together is.
Our main discussion will take place Saturday, November 16th at 1PM at TNC in The Cino Theater located at 155 1st Ave. NY, NY 10003.
